About TKP

Learn about our journey, our mission,
and the team behind our work.

Our Story

Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja (TKP) is a dynamic refugee-led non-governmental organization based in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya. It was founded in 2022 by a small group of four dedicated members led by Merci Biamungu, united by a vision to empower, transform, and bring smiles to the faces of refugees in need.

In 2023, TKP grew to include six more volunteers—forming a ten-member team committed to creating meaningful change within the community. As their impact expanded, the initiative officially became a refugee-led NGO focused on providing sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by vulnerable populations.

Today, TKP runs programs that support orphans, persons with disabilities, teenage mothers, and the elderly, while also promoting talent development, women’s empowerment, peacebuilding, and education for all. Through these initiatives, TKP continues to build a community of hope, self-reliance, and opportunity.
