Kakuma-Kalobeyei Camp
Refugee's Challenges

The community faces multiple barriers that limit opportunities, dignity, and sustainable growth.

Lack of Skills

Limited vocational and digital skills keep many youth and women from achieving self-reliance and independence.

Unemployment

Few livelihood opportunities lead to dependency, frustration, and rising risks for vulnerable groups.

Documentation Gaps

Many lack proper identification and legal documents, limiting mobility, services, and protection.

Food & Water

Ration cuts and limited water supplies create hunger, malnutrition, and health risks for families.

Unskilled Labour

Most work opportunities are informal and low-paying, leaving families trapped in poverty.

Social Vulnerability

Women, children, and the elderly face risks of violence, exclusion, and limited protection.
